White flag. I give up, The cat was so persistent!
Sometimes things are so much better when they are shared. Two friends enjoying great food and their company. Are you passing through or are you a new resident? The cat of course did not answer. That's okay. I removed the sandwich from my lunch bag and began to separate my food from what I was going to share with my guest. The cat was regal, but also patient and did not crowd me to try and make me move faster to distribute the goods. Looking down, I handed a piece of my sandwich to the cat who received it and did not wait for it to reach the ground.
The cat seemed to smile as it held the chicken and bread in its mouth. Happily, the cat put the piece of the sandwich on the floor and began to extricate the chicken breast from the crust of bread it was surrounded by. Delicately the cat removed the juicy meat from the leftovers and proceeded to make mincemeat of it.
Tired and wanting to relax, I sat down and began to enjoy the remainder of the sandwich. The cat eventually did ask for a little bit more which I obliged. Appreciative and thankful, the cat took the scraps and woofed those down too.
